Amanda Rootsey - Australian Eco Model

Last year I had the opportunity to attend one of Amanda's Vegan Era Seminars in Brisbane. A truly incredible soul and inspiration. A being many would, and should aspire to be like.

Amanda has worked as a model for 10 years.  Most of this time was with Australia’s leading agency, Viviens Model Management, and she has also worked with agencies in Germany and Italy.
After beating cancer and changing her lifestyle considerably, she has become very passionate about taking care of our beautiful planet and has chosen to work exclusively with eco-friendly and ethical companies that share her values.

Amanda leads an environmentally friendly lifestyle, living “off the grid” in a solar powered home on top of a mountain with her partner, David Rafter and puppy, Trudi.  They grow their own vegetables, collect their own water and love living simply.

Amanda and Dave also run the website, Vegan Era, a fun online portal with information on leading a vegan lifestyle for health and the environment and have been invited to speak all over Australia.

Save a Life !!

There is more than enough food being produced to feed everyone in the world twice over. The problem is, our meat-based diet means that land, water, and other resources that could be used to grow food for human beings are being used to grow  crops for farmed animals instead. According to a report by Compassion in World Farming, "Currently, one third of the world's cereal crop goes to feed the 60 billion farm animals reared every year to produce meat, eggs and dairy products - the majority of them on factory farms." - Excerpt from EVOLVE
